If you love sushi, you’re going to be head over heels for Studio City. From the Michelin-starred Asanebo to any of the top sushi spots on Ventura Boulevard including the beloved Katsu-Ya, you’ll be craving nigiri every night of the week.

You can also meet up with friends along Ventura Boulevard for happy hour. Stop for frites and escargot at Petit Trois, a Parisian-style cafe. Dig into fish tacos and fried-chicken sliders at Laurel Tavern, a casual gastropub that also claims to serve the best burgers in the Valley.

Things to Do

One of the major perks of living in Studio City? Universal Studios Hollywood is right in your backyard! Come on over to ride some thrill rides or enjoy a bite to eat at CityWalk, the shopping plaza located just outside the park. Universal offers fun events throughout the year, from New Year’s Eve celebrations to the famous Halloween Horror Nights experience in the fall.

There are also plenty of ways to get some outdoor recreation in the Studio City area. The popular Studio City Recreation Center is close by, a great place for a workout, a barbecue, or for kids to enjoy the playground. You can also hike at Coldwater Canyon Park, with its mesmerizing views everywhere you turn or take a walk on the North Valleyheart Riverwalk. Go bowling at Pinz, an alley that has had its star moment on shows like Modern Family and Storage Wars. Pop into Decor Art Galleries for old Hollywood art and historic photos.
